The growing production of waste is one of the major environmental problems of our today’s society. Particularly in Greece, it is considered a top priority matter.
The cattle farming section is an important division of the Greek economy and it comprises of 3.500 enterprises producing over 600.000 tons of milk per year.
This study, which was presented at the 6th Environmental Conference of Macedonia, investigates the Greek cattle farming positioning and problems and elaborates the Novel Biogas Mobile® Waste Management and Energy Production System.
This is an ideal solution for farmers as it relieves from the existing waste management costs, reduces the environmental footprint, saves quite a lot of space into the farm, yields exceptional compost reducing therefore fertilizing costs of the associated land fields and improves the farmer’s income.
